Songs for Growth is a collection of 17 original songs designed to foster development of academic and functional skills in children, adolescents and young adults. Designed for the music therapist or educator, the songs in this book are appropriate for people with a wide range of diagnoses, including developmental, learning, and emotional disabilities. Each song includes two audio recordings – instrumental and with lyrics – as well as sample goals and objectives and suggestions for modification. Songs for Growth will expand your repertoire and provide you with new tools to help your clients or students learn and grow!

Stephanie Scheffel, MA, MT-BC, has been a board-certified music therapist since 2010. She is an experienced clinician, working with people on the autism spectrum and with other developmental disabilities in the home, clinic and school settings. Her passion lies in using music to help others discover their independence and self-fulfillment. Stephanie is an experienced presenter at the regional and national levels on the topics of online resources and data collection for music therapists, and her co-research on the use of percussion in music therapy has been published in the Journal of Music Therapy. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys exercise, crafting, studying maps, and spending time with loved ones.
